Nice to see you again KIDD72, good luck this time round, hopefully a good Season ahead
To ABEditor, is this still your team (you posted it earlier)

Howard, Tim 5.3m
Sagna, Bacary 7.0m
Toure, Kolo 6.6m
Jones, Phil 5.7m
Heitinga, Johnny 4.1m
Gerrard, Steven 8.6m
Bale, Gareth 7.7m
Lennon, Aaron 6.0m
Milner, James 5.5m
van Persie, Robin (c) 9.5m
Anelka, Nicolas 9.0m

Kolo Toure is banned (after taking drugs) till early September

Milner may not play every game (Man C have a huge squad and rotate a lot)

Phil Jones is new at Man Utd so MAY take a time to settle in (and play every game).

You have two Everton defenders, which is always risky in case they get hammered (though Everton are usually pretty good defensively).

Not convinced Lennon will play every game either (he had a poor year last year)

I think someone has already said that Gerrard will miss the start of the season and also Anelka may not be a regular (hard to say as Chelsea have a new manager)
I do a lot of Fantasy Football and here are a few comments and suggestions.

If possible pick players who will play every week (or most weeks). So for example Darren Bent will play every week for Aston Villa, whereas Berbatov wont play every week for Man U.

Most of the top clubs have large squads and rotate a lot, so it is sometimes best to pick some players from smaller clubs who have more "regulars" (Everton, Stoke or Sunderland for example).

Go for defenders from teams who let in few goals (obviously). Last year this was (with best first): Chelsea, Man C, Man U, Arsenal, Fulham, Liverpool, Everton, Spurs, Stoke (though Chelsea and Fulham have new managers).

Pick defenders who score goals or take free kicks or penalties, or attack a lot - Huth at Stoke, Baines at Everton, Hangeland at Fulham, Johnson at Liverpool for example.

Pick midfielders who "attack" and score or make goals - Van Der Vaart at Spurs, Malouda at Chelsea, Nani at Man Utd and so on.

Pick strikers who play regularly (obviosuly), score goals (obviously) and if possible take penalties - Darren Bent at Villa, Van Persie at Arsenal, Rooney at Man Utd for example.

Think about teams in Europe, particulalry those who have to start their campaign early. For example Arsenal have to start in Europe right at the start of the season, whereas Man U and Chelsea start later. Ths may cause more squad rotation (and injuries) for Arsenal early on.

Note that Liverpool are NOT in Europe so can focus more on the Premier League (not sure if Sky Fantasy includes Europe matches).

Avoid players who get booked or sent off a lot, or are injury prone.

It is the African Cup of Nations in January 2012 so lots of African players will go off for a month or so (Drogba at Chelsea amongst loads of others).

A fantasy team is a compromise between cost, players, teams etc and can take quite a while to get "right".

However the best planning in the world comes to nothing if your star player breaks his leg in the fist match (which has happened to me in the past).

Good luck.
Just had a nice chat with "Sky Dorrianne" she said that I wasn't a real person and couldn't help me.

You make some good points VHG and generally speaking it is a pretty good policy to adopt.
For the Ed :
Where you Log-in to Sky FF there is a 'Forgotten Log-in details',( bottom of log-in box) you should be able to get some help from this facility if you check it out.
Yeah, the issue is that I can't remember what the details were. I spoke to someone through their "helpful" chat thing... They refused to send a password reset.
Question Author
What you could do Ed, enter a new Team from scratch with New Team name and new log-in ID. Treat it as a new entry if you cannot remember original details.
Good luck !
Yep, I guess that's what will have to happen. I feel quite uncomfortable giving details to a anyone related to News International these days though...

Ha Ha ! Watch in case your Mob gets hacked Ed, Ban them if they do !! :-))
Redman, what would happen (when the season kicks off) and a transfer had happened so you would have three players in your FF team from the same club?
Question Author
Hi KIDD72 !
If at the time of Transfer he is contracted to another Club and is registered on Sky Fantasy as such, then as far as I am aware it is acceptable.
I had it last Season with Andy Carroll, playing for Liverpool but still registered with Newcastle
Just seen the in-depth analysis VHG. I'll make a new team tonight and enter it.
Hi Redman. did you gain any points after the transfer was made? RE: Andy Caroll to Liverpool.
Question Author
Very little actually as he was injured until last few games of Season.
A lot of the Players I had in my Team were getting injured so lost out badly and ended up near bottom of League !! lol
Hope to do better this Season..........famous last words !! :-))
Lol, :-) but it did register the points, that's what I wondered.

Good Luck to you this season :-)
Hi red - I'm in, but have already managed to post a board message twice! Doesn't bode well... :-)

Welcome aboard Lie-in-King, you are our 19th entrant.
Posted a welcome message but there was a hitch on the site and did not register.
If your Footie knowledge is as good as your Xwords then the rest of us had better watch out !! lol
Good luck
I see you have hidden your Team as well, crafty devil !!
Question Author
Only a week to go and it's nearly time for everyone to start fine tuning their Team Selections by taking out all the Players who will not start the Season due to injury etc. Once the Matches KO next Saturday (13th)Transfers are limited to 5 per Month/30 Per Season.
