I was watching the England v France game and, (unfortunately), listening to the studio "experts" at half time and this got me wondering if, apart from Jamie Carragher, has any other non English speaking player represented England at senior International level?
I'm sure I heard Roy Hodgson say in an interview today on Radio 5 that "it's time we put the church back in the village".
I've never heard that expression before. I'll google it
The only quotation that comes up on Google is... Roy Hodgson
"I've often come away [from tournaments involving England] with the feeling that I have not enjoyed it. The feelings have been very negative and people haven't seemed to enjoy it. We've got to try to get back to putting the church back in the village"
I always feel we need subtitles when Jamie Carragher or Steven gerrard re speaking... shame really because Carragher especially soundl like he is pretty inteligent under the eeeerh gnrrrrrrhhhhh yeeeeeh
I actually don't mind the scouse accent and can understand it ( even when trying to steal my trainers) but Jamie Characters' voice cuts through my soul like an evil shrill. (nothing against the man BTW)
