Pretty much same as last season
Question Author
Opps I have just noticed a slight typo there
Sorry about that - I am not on my keyboard today
Big money, mucho corruption.
Money will win, sport will lose ...

Sorry, ric.ror - not aimed at you, just having a bit of a cynical moment about the nonsense that is football ...
So I'm puzzled as to why are you looking on the Football section then, sunny-dave

I was going to say I wished I hadn't bothered but I can sympathise a bit - specially now the noisy neighbours have some and we are selling the family silver - if you know what I mean
Thing is if everyone who wanted to see Rooney play paid 50p per week he would probably make more than he does now - I use wayne as a typical example of a highly paid prem star
It popped up in latest posts with an abbreviated title - and I didn't notice which section it was in.

Probably went over the top with my reply (hence my apology to the OP).
I love my football but I must admit I enjoyed the Olympics so much that I'm not as enthusiastic as usual about the new season.
Question Author
Yes I agree somewhat - but the Olympics was only ever going to fill the gap between seasons for me
saying that I did not watch any football at the Olympics - I disagree with it being there - same for Tennis and (at the next Olympiad) Golf
It will be interesting the reception our GB footballers will get this season after their somewhat questionable performance in the Olympics, compared with other let's say "less well paid" sports men and women.
Arsenal will have a fairly good season, then crash out of three competitions in a week next spring.
Man United will retrieve the title that their neighbours are looking after this season. I do expect a close finish again but not on goal difference.
Question Author
Boxtops - what do you do with your harrisa?
I just have mine on crusty bread but I wondered what else you can do with it
Question Author
Ignore that other post that should be on chatterbank
I would live it to be so arksided
Before last season started I put a bet on with Ladbrooks that the league would be decided on goal difference, when they paid me out he said he thinks it was the only bet like that in the country, anyone know of someone haveing same bet?
I taker part in a predictions league in work and I've gone with league winners as........

Man United
Leicester City
Coventry City
Rotherham United
Septic
Partick Thistle
Queen of the South
Rangers
Predictions???......mmmmmmhhhhhhhhh.....we-e-
e-lll...........it'll
begin next Saturday and it will finish next May.........fair enough?

Oh...and...erm....one team will be crowned champions and three will be relegated.

Anything I've missed?
Yup, naming them.
Only one sensible answer!
I think the title will be fought out by Man City and United again with City winning more comfortably.
Arsenal will defy the doom and gloom merchants by finishing 3rd.
Chelsea and Tottenham 4th and 5th.

The African nations cup might hinder Newcastles chances of a top 6 finish if Senegal do well,so I fancy the forever over perfoming Everton to nip in to claim it.

Relegation scrap will involve Swansea,Norwich,V*lla,WBA,Reading,Southampton and Sunderland.

QPR and Wet Spam will spend enough to buy their way to mid table obscurity.
If the Hammers get off to a dodgy start Harry Redknapp will be in like a shot.
