That's a shame but inevitable at some point.

Who next at Goodison?

Martinez?

It's breaking news on Sky at the moment - but I should have said that he'll be leaving at the end of the season.

Martinez is supposedly one of the favourites to go to Everton but what has he actually achieved at Wigan? He only just manages to keep them up at the end of the season, and maybe not even that this time.
Moyes manager of Everton ELEVEN years- trophies won NONE.

Laudrup manager of Swansea ONE year - trophies won ONE.

Why on earth do Man U want Moyes.

I know he has done quite well at Everton with a limited budget, but to have not won a single trophy in 11 years is very poor.

Even though Ferguson suggested Moyes I think the board should have gone for a stronger character like Mourinho who would not have been Ferguson's puppet.

As soon as Moyes loses a few matches the crowd will be baying for Ferguson to come back and the "Matt Busby" scenario will return, where Busby had to come back after a couple of years as nobody could step into his shoes.

Also Mourinho or similar "powerful" manager would attract far better players to the club than Moyes will. Players want to go to a club where they feel there is a big manager.

If it is Moyes it is poor decision.

p.s. NOT an Man Utd supporter.
I'd go for Michael Laudrup or Martin O'Neill.

Oh yes, forgot about Rafa getting his P45. Perhaps he'll go to Wigan.
Dear God please not Jose to United - let him go to Chelsea - they deserve each other
How long do you seriously think he will be there for?
Some are suggesting wickedly that Rafa could go to Goodison :-)

David Moyes excellent choice in my opinion. And a pretty strong character. I wouldn't want to fall out with him anyway.
Whoever they chose would seem like a poor relation, even someone like Mourinho.
Moyes may have a low profile in Europe but so what? Who'd heard of Jurgen Klopp for example?
And look where Dortmund are now.
Com'on its almost scripted Rava to Everton.
Only Chelsea could make me feel sorry for Rafa
Lol same here, and I really do.
Me too - treated shabbily by them - still at least he hasn't been sacked in a corridor - yet
Unbelievable, its not as though they're mid table.
If Chelsea fail to finish in the top 4 will they sack him anyway, just for good measure?
Man U job is too big for Moyes

He's used to managing a club on a restricted budget who are forced to sell their best players

Whoever succeeds Fergie is on a hiding to nothing - the only way is down
