A drubbing by City today, and all their easy fixtures behind them, can the Gunners cling on in the top 4 until the end of the season?

I think so, provided they don't lose against Chelsea. I thought they might get a draw today but they were blown away. There is still a gap between them and the fifth placed team. The only issue may be the depth of their squad if they suffer several injuries
Agreed factor-fiction. I think this thread is a bit of a wind-up to be honest! But we'll see.
Interesting question Gromit.

They were well and truly "blown away" by Man City who, on their day, can blow anybody away.

Providing that they can keep a short injury list then they may well do it.

My opinion?........they will be 3rd at the end of the season.(from Peterborough United Supporter)
I can remember Man Utd getting a few pastings from other clubs but still going on to win the league.

Didn't Southampton beat them 6-3 in October 1996 yet Man U went on to win the league?

5 points isn't much. Lose against Chelsea and Newcastle, and they could drop to sixth by New Years day. I think they will just get 4th place at the end of the season if they don't get any too many injuries.
Is it only Arsenal who are liable to get injuries ? !!

There are a few good teams chasing them at the moment, and I think Everton could do it. (providing they keep clear of injuries.!!) :>)
Well, as things stand I'd say they've currently got more of a chance of making top 4 than Man Ure!
2nd or 3rd, my guess, Gromit.
Well said Chill. I'm getting a lot of stick from plastic Mancs who can't handle the truth, and just come back with cheap shots. I know I'm not alone in savouring what's going on at Manure. Arsenal aren't the finished article by any means, we will probably finish 3rd, but we shall see.
Arsenal usually start off slow and finish with a late run, this season they've shot their bolt and will struggle to get top 4

City and Liverpool will overtake them on Saturday. If Chelsea win Monday they drop to fourth.

Can't see Arsenal getting much further in the Champions League, so they will have less matches and less distractions and can consentrate on the League.

4th seems to be their natural finish but there is more competition this year, Everton doing well without Moyes.

Monday is a bit of a barometer for the rest of the season. Lose that and they could slide down the table fast.
