When are video replays going to be introduced to football?

I'm very despondent with it already and it is only day 2

Well I am toying with the idea of a Baltic cruise on the 29th NJ.

I watched the hockey earlier and even they use replays.
IMO not having them is absolutely idiotic.

Don't you think these big tournaments have become so political that the rules of the game come way down the list of priorities?

Dodgy decisions and errors have always been of the game. it's just that everything is scrutinised ad nauseam these days. How many times have we watched endless video re-runs of controversial moments, pored over endlessly by pundits. Can you imagine the same thing happening during a game? It works in rugby (even then it's tedious), cricket and tennis because in those games the ball goes dead much more often. Won't work in football unless you want to drive poor old New Judge to an early grave :-)

Yes, as will be the norm I fear we'll be discussing the sheer ineptitude of the officials to get even basic decisions correct when we should be mulling over the feast of football to follow.
Let's hope we have 3 decent blokes for Spain v Holland, not a trio of stooges who badly need a trip to Specsavers.
