Probably Barcelona and Real Madrid would be more coveted by most managers.
Also PSG and Man C probably have more money to buy players than Man U and that will attract managers (though to be fair Man U have splashed the cash a lot in the last couple of years- but to little benefit it seems).
Also Bayern is an attractive option for managers as well, also a couple of Italian clubs.
I would say Man U is ONE of the coveted roles but not THE coveted role.

I would have preferred pep to Jose but I'm not convinced either have shown to be particularly adept in the long term. But the the thought of one at united and the other at city is very exciting
