Hi all - having checked with SpareEd, I'm posting this as a continuation of the original thread here -

This is so that new posts will show in LP & when SpareEd gets a chance, he'll unsticky that thread & sticky this one. I'll post a continuation thread around this date each month & he'll unsticky/sticky again for us.
I've reminded him once again that we're awaiting the arrival of the teams from the Towers... ;-)

Just back from an extra training session after a dismal start to the season. Team talks have been had, contracts discussed & due to the presence outside the office of a chopping-block, there has been chatter concerning the rolling of heads.
The more you lose, the more you don't win.
Alex McLeish
The lads are still trying to get their heads around that last bon mot, bless 'em.
Onwards & upwards :-)

Hi all, Yes Togo it is a lot quicker for me as well. I had a good Friday (no pun) with my United players three in one team two in the other all different however yesterday my mid-fielders for both either played crap or were actually benched! Although very early days the top two have a familiar look to them. I have noticed the league table doesn't show goals scored or assists so might be no golden boot award at the end.
You don't win football matches without scoring goals.
Heard on 'Talksport' today, a classic often repeated.

Morning all, I have had a look and decided not to fiddle but am gambling on Willian being fit. Here is the thing though, after having my initial picks beggared up with injuries, Jack Butland being a big one because it shafted my defence, I am now on the injured list. I have done in my Anterior Cruciate Ligament and have had a week of pain and sleepless nights. Would you believe I did it whilst fishing, but luckily I don't need a cast.

Afternoon - Arky, tell me about it! 15th & 21st?!? Shome mishtake shurely?
It really doesn't help when my players are sidelined or - it seems like - injure themselves just looking at a football! Muppets, the lot of them so far... Onwards & upwards!
Scoring goals is the hardest thing in football but doing it in a struggling team is double harder

Hi all, Well it's back to football this weekend ;-) after the Internationals.
Had to make a few changes to both teams, knowing my luck someones bound to pick up an injury before Saturday. (I won't be able to change them tomorrow/weekend) It is a marathon but a nice little sprint would do me some good. Good Luck all.
We didn't underestimate them. They were just a lot better than we thought.

Luckily I can wait until Friday evening to make my changes, gives the injury list more time to update - sigh...
Agreed Arky, a nice sprint would be very welcome!
As mentioned in this OP, I'll be posting the next of these "follow-on" threads tomorrow, with links to the original & to this thread as well. Good luck & (try to) have fun ;-)
Football these days isn't going forwards. It's going sidewards

Good afternoon L-I-K, Blimey a month gone already (for this thread). It's still a little early to post the league I'll post it starting from the first week in October after that game week, and monthly thereafter.
When has football ever been fun, fantasy or otherwise ;-)
Some people believe football is a matter of life and death. I'm very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that
