FIFA are increasing teams at World Cup finals tournaments from 32 to 48 from the year 2026

What a stupid idea, this will seriously 'water down' the quality of the tournament - basically another 16 'mickey mouse' nations teams (many of who would probably never qualify for the finals) will play in the finals

I suppose it actually gives Scotland a chance to qualify though (see aforementioned 'mickey mouse' nations teams) ;-)

Nothing surprises me with FIFA even after Septic Blatter forced to step down, it will however lesser the tournament IMO. as for Scotland you're being mean lol.

Why don't they just do away with the qualification rounds and have a HUGE competition involving all 200+ countries .... or maybe that's what they're aiming to do eventually :)

Despite this statement from the chief executive of the Scottish FA http://www.skysports.com/football/news/12017/9568629/scotland-rule-out-boycott-of-the-2018-world-cup I have massive respect to the Scottish players who have taken it upon themselves to boycott it anyway.
