What Now For Karius?
7 Answers
I think he has 2 options. Learn from his mistakes or let them get to him. I'm sure that Premier League players will be having more shots at him from outside the box next season. But how will Klopp handle him? Hairdryer or quiet words? None of his team mates, or his manager, went near him at the final whistle did they? Will he still be at Liverpool next season? Depending on how the manager feels, it could be the end for him. Or not. But he's not the first keeper to embarrass himself, and he won't be the last. Remember David Seaman letting in a similar goal in a European Final when Nayim scored from 40 yards in the last minute? It may just be a case of forget it and move on. We'll see.

The goalie situation at Liverpool shows the difference between "good" managers and "great" managers.
Every football fan knew Liverpool had a goalie problem over the last couple of years, but Klopp did nothing about it..
Klopp chose to spend 70 million on a defender, and keep their two average goalies.
Whereas they could have bought a great goalie for 30 million and still had 40 million left for a defender.
A great manager like Alex Ferguson would NEVER have carried on with the two goalies Liverpool had and would have made a top quality goalie his first priority.
And that is why Ferguson was a great manager and Klopp is only a good manger (and why Klopp has lost all the finals he has been in as manager except one).
p.s. I am NOT a Man Utd fan, Aston Villa fan actually so not in the best of moods.

He has to go. He was never good enough and Klopp should have known that. He might be forgiven one mistake, but not for two howlers in their most important game for years. Like Klopp said, the second was probably partly due to the first as his confidence was shaken. That, however, only strengthens the argument to get rid as keepers have to be able to keep their composure after a mistake.
I don't think you can compare him to David Seaman or other great and established keepers who have made blunders in important games like Peter Shilton, Oliver Khan, and of course Dida who gifted Liverpool their last Champions League trophy.
