Was Louis using a game plan?

Although I have enjoyed the Conway sisters - especially over the last 3 weeks shows, Maria is a muc better singer. I was convinced that since Louis has appeared a total crawler this series that he would side with Sharon to delibratley leave Simon with 1 act left. I was totally shocked when he chose to send Maria home. Does anyone else think as I am now starting too that he used it as a game plan as he saw her as a threat to win the series over his acts - she chose a naff song tonight and it also meant he was reducing Sharon's power hold as she sill had her three groups. does anyone esle think that he would genuinely have chosen the conway's over Maria because they're Irish???

No he chose the Conway sisters because they are friends of his from back home. It seems a little fix-ish to me to be honest. But hey ho !

I don't think that's all of it! A terrible program tonight! It's all about talent isn't it? so why is Chico there. It's not right that people who have a genuine gift to be ousted by a novelty act. He's had his 15 minutes of fame. Yes, two acts are voted for each week but rather strange that it's two judges' acts ie, not both acts belonging to one judge which, well I never, makes dramatic telly = great interest= great ratings! a pathetic fix! I'll be boycotting from now on and will watch another channel. I don't have a particular favourite act but I feel we're being led/tricked by tv people who have the ability to guide the way things go to their advantage. I did like watching this prog but sadly not now.

yes i do think he may have chosen them over Maria because they are Irish... because i think it is quite obvious that Maria is the more talented of the two. Although Cheeko should have gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He CANT sing... is it only me who recognises that?? Maybe he is a good entertainer but he isn't talented.

My opinion... anyone agree?

My Sky + decided to give up at the crucial moment so I lost everything I had recorded and of course the xfactor results.Spent 2 hours trying to get through to Sky on 2 occasions - honest (Flat battery - doh!!).Wine then took a pounding.

Anyway I digress - hubby who works away said that Sharon was fuming and gave Louis a right earful.

What happened??

sharon, walsh and cowell are just acting up for the cameras...they all get on famously..the entire show is a charade..of course its a fix.. the chico geezer will be kept in because it gets everybody talking,the tabloids and the shows producers were in tandem from day one.. the show gets pages of publicity, and the tabloids get acres of print where they can bombard everyone with all the titbits about the likes of chirpos private life, whether we want to hear about it or not,with the full agreement of the performers btw...its tabloid television..its tacky, the acts with some exceptions are strictly karaoke in other words vocally below average...but hey the public lap it up, i should know me mrs loves it..and cowell well he ends up the only real winner commercially..

..oh come on! ...please! ...can nobody see that it's all pre determinied...they(production team) have probably decided on the winner already...I doubt the public or even the judges have much to say on the matter...it's one huge money making machine... bah humbug!

it's all very well to say that its pre-determined and fixed - that maybe true with the other Pop idol type shows but because the judges make the final choice and have to comment on the acts - the public don't have the final say as in the other shows. Last year I would have said that G4 were going to win but Sharon and Louis handed it to steve on a plate with Sharon's attack on the final night which in every other show is unheard of to launch an attack on someone in the final and Louis in the week running up to it - by saying that seve wa a fred West lookalike the producers could not determine the moronic comments and otally offensive insults that the judgs would come away with. I always felt that louis has always wanted to get one over on Simon and with all this shouting shut up to him all the time - ok a lot of it is pantomine - I can see that with simon but Louis gives me the creeps big time - smarmy. sharon was well mad last night so watch out Louis.

What gets me is, American Idol, the show in the States is done on public ballot only, which is what should happen here. that way, the judges keep out of the voting - of course they are going to vote in their own interests. However, it is worth noting that if what we are told is true, then the public did not vote for Maria in the numbers that kept her out of the final 2. The Conway Sisters have been there for several weeks running. I will watch something else from now on.

Aurelia - you've possibly hit the nail on the head with your last post. Maybe G4 weren't meant to win. After all, why would Simon Cowell want to sign another operatic quartet when he already had 'il divo'?
