Corner, Or Goal Kick?

I should know this, but here goes.

If a defender kicks the ball over the crossbar, is it a corner kick?

I hope TTT is alright. I have seen him own up to things in the past. Maybe it's the hot weather. Of course, it might turn out that we are all wrong and he is right, after all.

I would like to apologise for completely getting the wrong end of the stick yesterday. Of course it's a corner if a defender puts the ball over the cross bar. Too much FDW watching the England game.

I also love the second paragraph:

"A corner kick is awarded when the whole of the ball passes over the goal line, on the ground or in the air, having last touched a player of the defending team, and a goal is not scored.

A goal may be scored directly from a corner kick, but only against the opposing team; if the ball directly enters the kicker’s goal a corner kick is awarded to the opponents."
