Definitely won’t survive
Latest rumour says they’re planning on installing revolving doors at Numbers 10 & 11 Downing St.

I am gonna have to watch it later
anyone gonna tell what he says - I liked "anyone with a tie and comb can pontificate"
Foo! Why dat den.
"anyone with a tie and comb can pontificate"

That excludes Boris Johnson then.
We've had more chancellors than Putins had commanders. :0)
Wow Zacs.

Meanwhile GB News mouth-at-a-mike Dan Wootton claims she’s a tragic figure let down by the forces of darkness which of course includes that war criminal the “MSM”
If MPs can agree on a competent replacement the end will be swift. They actually voted for one not so long ago who forecast exactly what would happen if Truss did what she was threatening.
And he moreover was supported by the latest chancellor: so to me it’s a no-brainer, but …
MPs completely at odds with the party they represent then. This will end badly for someone.

If I were Hunt I'd be demanding more time for Truss; she got her job on a democratic vote (democratic for the party, not the nation) and thanks to the queen had very little time to get her feet under the desk.

I'd be doing this because if I (as Hunt) had a month to calm the markets and soothe the party's brow I'd be in an extremely good position to become her successsor.
Jno,
//I'd be doing this because if I (as Hunt) had a month to calm the markets and soothe the party's brow I'd be in an extremely good position to become her successsor.//

Sky News concur with that view Jno and a former Johnson aide says Hunt has now in effect become a ‘Caretaker PM’.
MPs may be at odds with a lot of the party members who backed Truss (not certainly not all) but they are pretty much at one with the voters, including it seems most Tory voters, in wanting her out.
I can’t see Jeremy Hunt becoming the leader. If it did happen it works be just very soon.
They should do a “Eurovision” and award it to the runner up in the original contest who after all is the one they wanted, the winner being now a bit of a dangerous war zone …

Does anyone have any idea of what current economic and fiscal policy is?
More of the same?
in that case why cut the British afrocaribbeans throat?
“Caretaker PM” suggests there’d be yet another Tory PM before next election - it would also mean yet another chancellor :-)
Not impossible, but it would as I said above (or tried to) have to be soon and it would have to be permanent.
Since Johnson’s premiership an increasingly incompetent and right wing set of ministers has been given carte blanche to run riot in government.
They desperately now need a government that includes all wings of the party.
It might not work electorally tho it’s probably their best chance, but anything else will be disastrous for them and the party.
//MPs completely at odds with the party they represent then//

More to the point with the people they're elected to represent.
But as I pointed out before, on this one they are in step with the people they represent. None of whom other than some Tory party members wanted Truss in the first place
It's all very Italian, without the stylishness.
