Well at this precise second the sky is blue & it looks lovely out, whether it will last is another thing but fingers crossed! After lastnight England defeat in the EURO's I'm sure there are many sore heads today! Like millions we were watching here & cheering them on but we both said even before the game started that they would have a really hard game in trying to defeat Spain, &  sadly that proved right on the night - they simply werent good enough, though I do hate seeing all the players & fans so upset after weeks &/weeks.

i did watch the Wimbledon Mens final in the afternoon tho- the winner Carlos Alcatraz aged just 21, absolutely thrashed Djokovic!! Barely time for popcorn!

Today I now have to catch upon everything I should have done when I was hit by the vomiting bug - the list is long & I swear that every time  I look at it that it's grown longer!

Good morning Barry. Everything ok in your neck of the woods? Well, I spoke to my son yesterday & just said let me know as soon as I can visit and I'll just juggle things. Seeing as all my best plans went completely out of the window maybe I'll just trying doing a last min journey - the main trains run every hour that I need, and they live in a seaside town so grabbing a B&B last min shudnt be a prob. ( I'd happily sleep on their sofa as they don't have a spare room with a bed, but will play it by ear)

Good morning both. Back last night from the Cornwall birthdays week. Looking round the house with a sense of "Hmm, where was I?". Much catching-up to be done. Glad you're feeling better Smow. Have you been able to reschedule your Devon trip?

Good morning Smow, woken up to blue skies this morning but rain is forecast later (obviously) , going to try and cut the lawns this morning and do not much else to be honest.

Morning fourteen85 - I don't have any lawns to cut, all patio and decking. Was like it when I moved in but would have liked a lawn. Do you have a big garden then?

It was a very good trip thanks Smow. We've just looked at the grass. Oh dear! Maybe paving would have been the better option!

How did the weather hold up for you?? I do like grass but obv patio is much easier, and I find it strangely therapeutic jet washing it lol. Though I'm not sure that I'm meant to end up as wet as the actual patio! lol!

It was bright and sunny for the last two or three days but with a chill wind. I always take several layer options for the Cornwall trips!

Hi Smow, no not very big at all, mind you it seems to get larger with each passing year.

Ahh the good old sea breeze hey lol!

My in-laws have literally moved a couple of weeks ago and already they are preening their lawn like a new baby!
