Oh yes and Ferguson...the Everton fellow. I was always a follower of Everton until, Joe Royle arranged a limousine to pick Ferguson up from jail and drove him back to Liverpool, and then arranged a band to lead him onto the pitch on his first game back/
Gerrard will be acquited ..... just see....but a point that I find interesting is that his Bentley was outside the club in Southport, then was he going to drive home after drinking?

123 Gerrard WILL be found not guilty whether he did it or not, there is a law for the rich and one for the poor. Do you remember when Sir Alex Ferguson was speeding on the motorway and he was not charged as his lawyer, said that he was hurrying home because he had diarhoea......COME ON.
Would you or I have got away with that.
P.S Is Rex Makin still in Liverpool?

I'm more than aware of how the law works for most of us.
All I'm saying is that I hope the truth is it was'nt him, he came from a really sh1te part of Liverpool and has always conducted himself with dignity I feel, I'm disappointed in him. But as disappointed as I am in him I don't think I could be more disappointed than he is with himself, he looked distraught in the paper.
He has been in trouble before (allegedly), a domestic I'm told, he smashed the flat up during a row with his Mrs. he did'nt (however) lay a finger on her.
I don't think he'll play against Preston on Saturday and the Derby should be colourful to say the least.
If I were a red I'd be very concerned about what effect this will have on the team as a whole.

Steven Gerrard was arrested on a night out, blown out of proportion by the press as usual, Stevie G is NOT a Joey Barton type believe me. The lad takes a lot of stick and abuse on the pitch with Man Utd and Everton fans in particular , shouting disgusting remarks about his wife and children - Ive heard it ! He does not retaliate, he cant afford to.
So hes on a night out, apparently enjoying himself buying champagne for a girl celebrating her 18th birthday, posing for photos with people, he asks for a particular song to be played, the Man Utd card carrying DJ tells him to Pxxx Off and shoves him in the chest - all hell breaks loose as Stevens mates jump to his aidend of story. Hopefully as hes never been in any trouble before he will get a caution.
As to forthcoming Liverpool games, if Steven is seeking a reassuring precedent he need only look at the time Sir Alex Ferguson had to collect a hungover Roy Keane from Bootle Street police station in Manchester - four days before the 1999 FA Cup final. United won that Cup Final and hopefully we will go on to win the league !.

All players suffer the chants and insults Gerrard gets, I've heard them too, it's always gone on players just get on with it it's part and parcel.
Andy Gray when he was at Villa had been getting a load of stick off the rival's fans and then he went and scored he ran up to them and put 2 fingers up at em (as you would) and got fined, nothing new in it.
Personally I like it when players give it back, I remember Fowler's antics when he scored against us and thought they were hilarious.

Barton and Rooney, perhaps, but Gerrard it has to be said is a model pro, he's as fair a player as you'll find (does dive when required) but he's not a dirty tackler.
It goes against the grain for me speak up for the redsh1te, so one thing I will add (with regard to the musical themes) will the Kop still be singing ##"He's big and he's f*****g hard"?
