To answer your question WBA they had a useless coach that the team didn't respect and for some strange reason the FFF still kept him there even after the European Cup fiasco. With a new president in FFF and Laurent Blanc as coach, there may be a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.
Hope England doesn't die a similar death...
