I know this could be placed in the Sport section, but I think people shouldn't be too scathing on him. His tee shot at the 10th could have easily bounced out onto the fairway, but when it's not your day, they do the opposite. Being a golfer, I know! His parents must be so proud of him to see him make such a mark on a major, world sporting event like that. He is only 21 and now holds the record as the youngest ever player to have lead The Masters. Just think about that and the history behind it. All the greatest players ever haven't done that, but he has. I'd like to say congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. McIlroy if I could, for producing such a fine young man and then having all the belief in him; giving him the encouragement and support to help him to get where he is. If he had won yesterday, that would have been a dream wouldn't it? But I'm sure his day will come.
he did well to lead for such a long time, I think the enormity and the pressure got to him, at 21 its understandable, its been a learning curve for him if nothing else.
anyone who plays golf knows how frustrating the game can be and clearly it is the same for the professionals! You are right though 10Clarionst - Rory's family and he himself should be very proud of his achievements so far. Some press are making him out to be a failure today!
