Fly Fishing.

Mr A has asked me to write the following:
Are there any fly fisherman on AB. I'm looking to buy a Diawa Wilderness fly rod, I'v read the product reviews on it but would like to hear any owners opinions. TIA..

Fly rods are a bit different to other rods Humber because they are in your hands all the time and moving for a lot of that time, if the 'action' of the rod doesn't suit you it's like walking in uncomfortable shoes.

I have flyfished for over 50 years and Diawa do not produce bad tackle. I don't know this particular rod but they are not over priced like some other manufacturers' produce. They tend to be on the stiff side action wise which IMO makes for long casting and good presentation. If it is to be used on a loch from a boat they do not tire you out and you can enjoy the whole day.

I went to a fishing tackle supermarket where they had all different types, tried a few then found someone on ebay who was selling the rod I liked cheaper...

Shoota thats a good idea he said but our nearest is Glasgow, maybe he should walk around the lake trying everyones rod :)
