I watched Bullseye last night and two things immediately struck me
1 How rubbish the prizes were ( interesting but not the question)
2 When they say 'step up to the oche' there are four lines

I looked on Wikipedia and it just says the oche is 7'9 1/4" from
the board and not much else. If that is the case what are the other
lines for ?

On an old mat the three other lines are: 7' 6" - historically for ladies league 8' 0" - historically for men's league 9' 0" - historically for men's league (rare)

That's what I thought. I always stand closer to the board when we play darts. maybe that's why I always win!
