Who's Going To Win Wimbledon?

If the great Federer plays as he did today against Andy Murray I think he'll win.
Poor Andy. He didn't do a lot wrong, but Fed was incredible.

Usual attempt at a damage limitation exercise after but mud sticks. Clearly one of a minority from Scotland who does display his anti-English stance as also shown at the last hours of the Scottish Referendum vote.
Never any sobs from me to see a Murray defeat. Sorry Ladies.

Murray's first serve % about as high as he could have hoped for, very few errors, plenty of winners, some unbelievable defence and great play. And he still lost pretty convincingly.
What saddens me, although I'm not too surprised, is how many people take the opportunity to do Murray down. Which is ultimately self-defeating, because it makes Federer look far less impressive than he actually was. There is not all that much skill in defeating a fairly average player such as, say, both Federer and Murray were doing last week (well, there is, but it's what these guys would expect to do). But in making a seriously good player look ordinary -- that is something that Federer managed today. He played so well that the third best player in the world couldn't come even close to winning. Describing Murray as average, as some have done, only drags Federer's display down with him.
Looking forward to the final, anyway. I do hope Federer wins, although I no longer expect this to be his "last chance" the way so many did last year. At Wimbledon, at least, he will clearly have a great chance every time he shows up.

Retrocop, does that tired old line about "anyone but England" need to be brought up again? He was 18 at the time, it was a half-hearted attempt as a joke about the supposed age-old rivalry between England and Scotland. To say he is anti-English is ridiculous. He lives in England, his wife, best friends and most of his coaching team are English. I think I read that one set of grandparents are English.
Murray is a very , very good player....NOT world class nor one of the greats and was "blown away by Federer. Murray needs to work on his first serves as not enough are going in or are winners.
Djokovic is a different class to Murray, especially in the big matches.
I forecast a 5 setter with Novak to win. Two great players.
