...I've been watching the first day's play from Adelaide. The first day/night test match ever and the first use of a pink ball.. 47,400 spectators !!... As an avid test cricket fan I have followed the long format of the game since the late 1950's and I was sceptical of this experiment. I needn't have worried. It was a brilliant days play and a wonderful experience..Incidentally it is 36 years to the day since the first ODI day/night game was played.
One question, both teams were wearing black armbands can anyone tell me why, thanks.
