Lovely morning and a great meeting on at Cheltenham, so I have stayed there for my Saturday punt. Was having a chat over a cuppa with our window cleaners great couple who have a little punt after work. They like to put a bet on and go home, no internet betting. They work dawn till dusk at this time of the year and 14/15 hours in the summer, weather permitting. Any way we always chat gee gees whilst I brew up and compare tales of joy or woe. In the last fortnight Mr has had £1,100 and £650returns on £5.00 doubles and missed out on a treble by a nose in a photo finish that would have paid £12k. When I asked for the secret he said that he is in the habit of looking for claimers riding first time blinkered horses on the all weather that have been running OK but only taking middling places. Ever likely be able to have 4 weeks sun every January. I will be keeping an eye on that little tip.

Afternoon, Togo. Not a fan of 'systems' as such but, hey, if it works for him................. Bit of extra cash to splash on the nags today with the loss of top class football in all European leagues and, like you, i have concentrated mainly on Cheltenham, though i will be looking at the lesser venues later on.

Not too bad this end Ken. With B.O.G I had a 55/1 double up and two good singles. Let the first run, then looked for cover as per when it went down. Got a footy bet running and watching for a cash out if it looks sensible...…...ohh and cheering on Japan. Pesky opponents with ball in hand.

Nice double, Togo. That Speedo Boy won as easily as anything i've seen lately at Cheltenham. Had to settle for the e.w. on Guitar Pete from Cheltenham, today but did manage to draw £31.50 off a double in a patent (Master O'The world and Premier Rose - Corinthia Knight letting the bet down). Looks a half decent card there again tomorrow :-) Just done a correct score patent/treble for tonight's international matches; Italy 1-1, Turkey 2-1 and Romania 2-0. It'll keep me interested until Beck starts at 9 :-)

Fair flat stayer Ken. Was always destined to go hurdling and kept sound with that it mind by connections. Can do further as well methinks. Just having a look at the markets for tomorrows England game and 12/1 looks fair for a 3-1 win for England. Will wait and see what the side is and perhaps do a scorecast bet.
