Australian Open Tennis - Spoiler Alert!!
Having thrashed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the first semi final, Rafael Nadal must have been praying that Lucas Pouille could give Novak Djokovic a hard game and sap some of his energy ahead of Sunday's final. Unfortunately for the Spaniard, the Djokerman was in imperious form, strolling to a 6-0, 6-2, 6-2 win yet is only slight favourite to beat Nadal - which he has done on the last 8 occasions they have met. I already have a decent bet on Novak - as i said on SharonA's thread last week - and i am so convinced that my money is safe, that i have had another (smaller) bet on a 3-1 victory for the World Number 1 @ 7/2.

When the World number 1 can so comprehensively beat the World number 2, 6-3, 6-2, 6-3, it can only serve to underline just how much catching up the rest have to do. Okay, my 3-1 bet sank along with Nadal's hopes, but i just about broke even with my initial bet at the start of the tournament. Novak Djokovic, the gift that just keeps on giving:-)
