Bit cooler up here this morning, but spring is in the air. Bit of gardening and prep ready for planting out is done, spuds are in, and seed trays are progressing nicely. Let's see if I can "grow" a bit of a crop from the satchel man. Noel Fehily has his last rides today. He has been a solid pro and goes out on his own terms. Good for him. Everyone is talking about him perhaps going out with a winner and most fancy him in the bumper. I have a sneaky feeling that his first trainer Charlie Mann may provide the finale for him though. No big stakes today. Good luck to all.

Won me quite a bit of cash down the years, particularly when he was stable jockey to Charlie Mann. I believe that, but for ill fortune, he would have got the plum job at Nicholls' stable when Ruby went back 'home'. He will no doubt be missed and, while fairy tales do not often come true, i do hope he rides the winner in the bumper.
While crunching the numbers, i was having a good look at She Mite Bite in the 3.15 Newbury and i saw that Henderson's horse was beaten by the absolute outsider in the race, Maebh. She Mite Bite has probably done better than Maebh since then but @ 33/1 i thought it prudent to have £1.50 e.w. on the latter.
2.05 N'b; Classic Ben @ 5/1
2.25 Kel; Joke Dancer @ 9/2
2.40 N'b; Elysees @ 11/2
3.00 Kel; Blue Flight @ 5/1 (Rev f/c with Some Chaos)
Win singles, 20p Lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £23, 4 winners = £1,589. Also had a couple of quid on Teescomponent Lad @ 10/1 as i had it l.t.o. when it won.
Once again, good luck.

Well, just the forecast (paid £33.66) and the non runner in the 3.15 means i was still a loser on the day, but nowhere near as big a one as i could've been :-/ Managed to scrape some back on the football with Luton, Burton and Lincoln winning @ boosted 15/2 with Skybet. I live to fight another day - or night, as the case may be as i'm just having a look at Kempton :-))
