Tennis - Laver Cup
Europe against the rest of the world. I’m a huge tennis fan, but I can’t get excited by this. Does it really mean anything to the players or the fans? It’s not exactly Davis Cup for excitement and passion.

This is only the 3rd time it has been held (team Europe winning the first 2) so it is early days yet. Certainly too early to pass any sort of judgement but there are some top players involved with the likes of Federer and Nadal involved for the 3rd time. I suppose the lack of interest may be down to the fact that Team Europe consist of 6 players all in the top 11 whereas the Rest Of The World team's highest ranked player is John Isner @ 20 and also contains the world number 210, Jack Sock. Federer v Sock would hardly be edge of the seat stuff, imho.
