If the leagues are not completed, can you imagine the amount of legal action against the Premier League and Football League? The leagues will be completed behind closed doors, is my guess.
Rugby League Salford v Wigan is going ahead tonight, and the Catalan Dragons match is being shown on Sky Sports Action tomorrow at 16.55 on the red button but it will be played being closed doors. That's what we pay to watch so no complaints here.
Wouldn't just be Liverpool though, would it. There are clubs vying for European places, fighting relegation, trying for promotion. Some have games in hand on their closest rivals.
I’d imagine that a lot of stuff - that can afford to - will start up again soon behind closed doors. That was the Premier League’s plan anyway before the CloseIt-19 virus struck today and everyone followed everyone else ...
Sorry slightly off the subject here but it would be interesting to work out the number of games required to eliminate about 6 countries and the number of airmiles racked up in the finals alone.
