At last...the racing starts back up in the UK. I have done a little punt on the 4 handicap races and entered the ITV7 which is the first 7 of the 10 races. Also done 7 & 6 timers small stakes on the 7. Have put Mutasaamy in my ITV7 but have had a little E/W punt on Motawaafeq at 12/1. Also taken a leap of faith on my pick in the 3.20 handicap because although the trainer talks it down, the owner loves a punt himself and the horse is reportedly very fit. Good luck if you spoil yourselves and have a little go. Off for a quick stroll on the prom before the handicaps start.

Brian The Snail 3.20 @11/2
Oakenshield 3.55 @6/1
Indian Sounds 4.30 @7/1
Good Tidings 5.05 @4/1

£1.00 e/w acca 30p Doubles and trebles.

ITV7 the the first 3 of that list with Stone Mason 1.00, Mutasaamy 1.35, Freedom Flyer 2.10, Continental 2.45.

Afternoon, Togo, and the very best of luck with those. I've tried in vain to discover which trainers have managed to keep their 'string' simmering, so I've had to resort to those horses which have shown they can perform, first time of asking, after a break of 60 odd days or more. I've also taken into account their track records, so I've got my fingers, toes and eyes crossed, hoping that one or two oblige.

1.35; Dancin Boy @ 16/1 (£1 e.w.)
3.20; Yousini @ 8/1 (£2 win)
4.30; Queen Of Kalahari @ 14/1 (£1 e.w.)
5.05; Ice Pyrmid @ 10/3 (£5 win)

20p Lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £123, 4 winners = £13,140

£1.50 e.w. on Zodiakos @ 25/1 in the 1.00.

Placepot; 2-9-3-3-10-6

Just got time to make a bit of dinner before the action gets under way. :-)
i am tempted and that's because it was on our local news here in Newcastle, I only like the names tho and i think one was Heavenly something ? that was tipped
BOOM! That's a very good start. Just short of £50 back, so the day (and possibly tomorrow) is paid for :-)
£3 win on Bond's Boy @ 10/3
Read somewhere that starter wasn't going to let horses delay the start. Either they go in first time of asking or they're out! Not the case, there, was it?

Get In. Koukash again Ken. Fahey is a one. Said the horse was very frustrating blah blah blah and he didn't know what to expect, then went on to say it was very fit after having had runs on the Continent? It was fit alright. Win again this week if I know them.

Just noticed your earlier post Bobbisox. There was a horse called Heavenly Tale running in the first race. Afraid it didn't do much right.
You stuck with it, Togo, I didn't but I did throw it in a rev f/c with my selection. Paid just over £45. Also, earlier in the afternoon, I was watching the 12.00 at Dieppe. In the very early stages, a horse fell and a couple of fences later, a klaxon sounded and the race was stopped. The leader at the time was having it's first run for over 600 days. The race was re-run after the 'last race' on the card, so I put a fiver on said horse. It duly obliged @ 4/1. The week is off to a flyer :-)
Hadn't done one in this 3.55 race - apart from the placepot - so I've just put a quid e.w. on Taste The Nectar @ 20s.

They have 3 runners again tomorrow at newcastle Growl & Gabrial The Wire in one handicap and Gabrial The One in another. I also see that the King Power mob have got runners going tomorrow. They like a dabble as well. Gotta love it.

I'm cooking with gas now Ken. :))
Well in, again, T. Bit more convincing than Brian's result. Though you really could do with at least one more - pref your 7/1 :-)
Not looked at tomorrow's yet but when I do, it will be with one eye on those stables who have provided today's visitors to the medal podium.
Hahaha, looks like mine this time, Togo. Another £20 in the pot :-)
Like shelling peas, innit?

Reality strikes back Ken....Haha never mind. Still in funds with a nice double. Have done as little trixie on the last 3 whilst I water the veg etc. Good Tidings, Frankly Darling and, the what I think overpriced, Hatheem in the last. Bit of e/w on that as well.
There are two constants in my 'sporting' life. Burnley do not get awarded penalties and I do not win phot-finishes. So to win 2 such finishes in one day almost borders on the impossible :-)
Best of luck with your last bet. I've just done a £1.25 rev f/c with Ice Pyramid and Good Tidings. Then it's back to the French for the early evening.
Typically the one I fancied most runs worst of all. Never got into the race. Thought yours had it for a while :-(

Me too Ken. Never mind I have enjoyed seeing the familiar connections in action and am up on the day already so take a breath and have another go tomorrow. Thing is ....I rarely bet during the week except for the "festival" meets, and when I am on my jollies. We should have been in St Ives since Friday but that is forfeit until next year....So I would have been having a pop at winning a nice meal for us had we been on Hols anyway.
As long as we keep it fun, Togo, we're not hurting anyone :-)
Had to have a quid e.w. on Cracking Destiny @ 50s in the 5.40 - Grand-daughter's name. :-//
