On Wednesday night, for the first time in about 20 years, my correct score bet came in. I am always on the lookout for 'repeat' scorelines, and on Wed i noted that Liverpool had won their last 2 home games v Spurs by 2-1, Norwich had won their last 2 away games v Reading by 2-1 and Blackburn Rovers had won two recent home games by a 2-1 margin. So i put my 'usual' bet on those three sides to win 2-1 - my usual bet being 3 x £2 wins, 50p Patent, 50p Treble - stake £10. Having watched Liverpool win 2-1, i immediately checked the other scores and saw that Norwich had also won 2-1 but that BR were level at 1-1. I worked out that i had just over £85 to draw should that scoreline remain unchanged. As the clock ticked down, i began cursing myself for relying on our fiercest rivals. Then, in the NINETY-SEVENTH minute, Rovers scored. Result - £960!!
I later discovered i had won £75.20 on the Irish Lotto :-)))))))))))

Shot there Ken. I saw that there was an ITV7 early doors. I had a quick look and realised that the card at Ascot was hopeless with such small fields, and seeing as I had to be out handy for a dental check and a bit of shopping, I gave it a swerve. Will have a look if there is anything that catches my eye on the other cards, if not I will keep my powder dry till tomorrow. Pleased you had a touch there Ken.
