Never seen this before. At 5.45 a horse called Secret Potion runs at Newton Abbot. Trained by Paul Nicholls, Secret Potion is a 5 year old bay gelding. At 8.05, over at Newbury, a horse called Secret Potion is entered in the BV Handicap, the last race on the card. This Secret Potion is trained by Ron Harris, is a sprinter and is a 7 year old bay gelding.
I've seen horses with the same name run seasons apart, but on the same day?! What about you guys?
Just for the record, i have the Nicholls horse in a L15, and i'm contemplating an e.w. bet on the other @ 20s.

On the Racing Post website, the Paul Nicholls horse is German bred, whilst the Ron Harris horse is British bred. Mamya's article shows that two horses with the same name were in the same race and even when the race was split into 2 divisions, they both came out in the same division until the BHA moved one into the other division. And back in 1994, Averti (USA) raced against Averti (Ire) in the same Yarmouth race.
