The doors open at Wobblybum today which means strawberries and cream, grunts and groans, Robinson's Barley Water, an appearance or two by old wrinkly Sir Cliff and, of course, a chance to make a few bob :-)

Casted my inexpert eye over the first day's play in the men's section and have concocted this acca;

Draper v Djokovic under 27.5 games
BPTWS (Both players to win a set) & Bautista-Agut to win
Andreas Seppi to win
Jim Vesely to win
Egor Gerasimov to win
Karen Khachanov to win
Feliciano Lopez to win a set
BPTWS & Monfils to win

£5 @ just under 95/1 = poss £478.80

Andreas Seppi win 3-1 @ 13/5
Karen Khachanov win 3-1 @ 7/2
Roberto Bautista-Agut win 3-1 @ 3/1

£1 Treble, £1 Trixie = poss £184.58

27.5 games? is someone going to retire injured?
They use a fractional figure for under/over. 27 will be under / 28 will be over.
My betting mate sez have a bet on Djoko to take the men's title @ 4/5.
Question Author
Dave, i NEVER back against the Djokoman. Unlike quite a few on here who hate him, i absolutely love the guy. He's won me more money than any other tennis player on the circuit in the last 15 years or so. But i don't like odds-on betting unless i'm doing an acca. I will be doing Djoko throughout the tournament whenever the prices are conducive to the contents of my wallet, but in today's match he is 1/100 to win, 1/6 to win 3-0 (which i believe he will), 1/25 to win first set. Hardly working men's prices. That's why i've gone for less than 27.5 (28) games. 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 is only 24 games :-))
Question Author
Just checked to see how my bets are doing and.......quelle surprise.....the start of Wimbledon has been delayed by rain :-J
Question Author
'Twould appear i underestimated young Draper and he caught Djoko cold in winning the first set. However, normal service has resumed and it looks as if the reigning champ will win 3-1 (currently 5-1 up in 4th set). This does mean that my predicted under 27.5 games is a no-no, so i've gone back in with the rest of my original selections plus Stefano Trevaglia to win. £5 @ 66/1 = poss £334 return.
Question Author
All 3 win 3-1 = £184.58 Ker-ching :-)))
Question Author
The acca went down with defeat for the player i added to it :-(

Put the £4.58 on Basilashvili to win 3-2 @ 5/1 when he was 2-0 down. Pity the match was interrupted 'cos Murray looked out on his feet. Now he's had a bit of a rest, he may just see this one out :-(
Question Author
I was right about Murray, though he almost threw the fourth set away, too.

Day 1. Stake = £19.58. Winnings = £184.58. Profit - £165
Question Author
Day 2;

Alex De Minaur win 3-1 @ 10/3
Cameron Norrie win 3-1 @ 13/5
Alex Bolt win @ 10/3

£1 Treble, £1 Trixie = poss £191.83
Question Author
A few matches that were interrupted yesterday still have to be finished and, despite being 1-0 down, i have selected Soonwoo Kwon to prevail when play recommences;

Feliciano Lopez to win a set
Alex De Minaur to win
Zhang v Koang over 38.5 games
BPTWS & Giles Simon to win
Soonwoo Kwon to win
Christian Garin to win
BPTWS & Tennys (apt name) Sandgren to win
Hubert Hurkacz to win

£5 @ just under 110/1 = poss £554
Question Author
At least 3 players let he acca down while just one of the 3-1 results was correct. Profit down to £155.

BPTWS & Barrere to win
BPTWS & Moutet to win
BPTWS & Ivashka to win
BPTWS & Giron to win
Nishikori to win
Querrey to win

£5 @ just under 140/1 = poss £703.48

Ilya Ivashka to win 3-1 @ 3/1
Kei Nishikori to win 3-1 @ 3/1
Grigor Dimitrov to win 3-1 @ 11/4

£1 Treble, £1 Trixie = poss £171.90
Question Author
With the first 2 in the Trixie looking unlikely to bear fruit, i put a £3 win on the 3rd leg @ 11/4 for a return of £11.25, bringing profit to £163.25. So i've done another little acca;

Tiafoe & Pospisill, Veseley & Fucsovics, Koepfler & Kwon all to win a set.
Fognini, Ostapenko, Kenin, Keys & Swiatek all to win.

£5 @ approx 15.5/1 = poss £82.94
Question Author
Nil returns from yesterday, lowering profit to £158.25. Perhaps i need a bit of Murray's luck? Twice, now, he has been floundering, only for the roof to be needed, giving him 20 odd precious minutes to recompose himself and win his matches.

Sam Querrey to win
Gael Monfils to win
Angelique Kerber to win
Victoria Azarenko to win
Bedene and Nishioka BPTWS
Bolt and Norrie BPTWS
Chardy and Ivashka BPTWS
Hurkacz and Giron BPTWS

£5 @ boosted odds of just under 31.5/1 = poss £162.30

Cameron Norrie 3-1 @ 11/4
Ilya Ivashka 3-1 @ 7/2
Grigor Dimitrov 3-1 @ 4/1

£1 Treble, £1 Trixie = poss £235.20
Question Author
Norrie won 3-0, Ivashka won 3-1 but Dimitrov 2-0 down :-(

Had a bit more luck with the nags, 3 winners in a lucky 15 for a return of £49.85, so used some of it to place a bet on tonight's horses and also the following acca;

Cilic, Federer, Kyrgios, Azarenko & Vondrousova all to win to nil.

£2 @ just over 21/1 (+20% bonus) = poss £53.33
Question Author
Profit down to £156.25 but another £38 profit on the nags - swings and roundabouts.

Djoko, Murray and Evans all to win 3-0 or 3-1; £5 @ 12/1.

Tiafo and Khachanov BPTWS
Fognini and Rublev BPTWS
Carin and Martinez BPTWS
Schwartzman and Fuscovics BPTWS
Koepfler and Bautista-Agut BPTWS
Garbine Muguruva to win
Karolina Pliskova to win
Iga Swiatek to win

£5 @ odds boosted to almost 38/1 = poss £192.95
Question Author
Djoko won 3-0 but both Murray and Evans were bombed out of Wimbledon. Profit £151.25.

Ivashka & Thompson BPTWS
Hurkacz & Bublik BPTWS
Sonego & Duckworth BPTWS
Aliassime & Kyrgios BPTWS
Federer to win
Kerber to win 2-0
Grauf to win
Barty to win 2-0

£5 @ boosted odds of 27.5/1 = poss £142.50

Ilya Ivashka 3-1 @ 7/2
Lorenzo Sonego 3-1 @ 3/1
Felix Auger Aliassime 3-1 @ 7/2

£1 Trixie, £1 Treble = poss £218.25
Question Author
^
Should read, "profit £146.25" not £151.25. Don't want anyone thinking i'm fiddling the accounts :-)
Question Author
Another tenner off the profit brings it down to £136.25. Now that we're in the 2nd week, i'm hoping for tighter matches.

Berretini v Ivashka BPTWS
Khachanov v Korda BPTWS
Shapalov v Bautista-Agut BPTWS
Auger-Aliassime v Zverev BPTWS
Ashleigh Barty to win
Madison Keys to win
Cori Grauf to win

£5 @ just shy of 26/1 = poss £134.48
I've been having a good look at both halves of the draw and i cannot see who will prevent Novak Djokovic from getting to the final. The other half is trickier and the fav to meet Djoko in the final is Daniel Medvedev who, if things go according to script, would face the mercurial Roger Federer in the QF. I honestly believe the winner of that QF will line up against Djoko in the final and i could wait until the result is in. But the price would shrink so much it would hardly be worth having a punt. So;

Finalists; Djokovic v Federer £30 @ 9/2 = poss £165
Finalists; Djokovic v Medvedev £20 @ 13/5 = poss £72
Question Author
Games not quit tight enough, acca bombs.

Studying the Raducanu v Tomljanovic match, i came to the conclusion that on current form, these two ladies could be quite evenly matched. Then, i saw the following prices and couldn't resist having a couple of quid on;

£1 win; Emma Raducanu to win 7-6 7-6 @ 100/1
£1 win; Ajla Tomljanovic to win 7-6 7-6 @ 80/1
