I have been dragged (kicking and screaming) out of retirement to do a weeks painting and decorating at my brother's house. When i realised that i had promised to do the job the week of Goodwood, i was a tad miffed. Then i remembered my woeful record at the Surrey track, and i thought 'hey-ho', so be it.

Not bothering with the ITV7 - whether that holds sway throughout the week, only time will tell. I did, however, pick these 4 'hopefuls', last night;

4.10; Lord Riddiford @ 8/1 - 5 places
5.20; Breaking Light @ 4/1 - 5 places
5.55; Kimngrace @ 10/3 - 5 places

Win singles, 20p Lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £25, 4 winners = £3,396.

Just the one winner yesterday (win single showing a healthy profit)
and i'm sort of kicking myself for not having the first winner. As you all know by now, i do follow trainers who have won the same race multiple times in previous years. MJ had two in that first race and i ignored both!

I really do appreciate Sky's generosity in paying out on extra places but they do frustrate me when, instead, they offer money back if placed 2nd, or 3rd, etc, as they have done in the first race. Doesn't help the e.w. component of my bet, does it:-(

These extra places are quite new to me. I never used to back e/w much but I do now.

A nice winner and a bit of E/W covered my punt easily yesterday. On early again as we are off for a trip down the LLyn. Try to find these glow bulls that are supposed to be raging all over the place.
