3 races from Newmarket (1st leg 2.05), 3 from Newbury and 1 from Thirsk make up today's ITV7, for which there is a prize of £50K for anyone jammy enough to pick 7 winners and, in the event of more than one person doing so, correctly name the winning distance in the 7th of those races.

Such a beautiful day and, with no less than 6 juicy handicap races to get my teeth into, it would be rude not to pay Thirsk a visit, chauffeured by my son, of course. Look out for someone wearing a Burnley FC shirt and punching the air/ripping losing tickets up by the winning post:-)

Chindit (3.35 N'b) was 3rd in this last year but there's nothing of the calibre of Baaed in today's race so, although i've had a punt on Modern Games to win @ 9/2, 20/1 for Chindit is too big a price to miss for a small e.w. punt. IMHO, of course.

ITV7; above qualifiers, plus; Yibir and Midwinster (my first winner at Thirsk (hopefully) - bypassing the first race for all bar the placepot). £1 e.w. acca.
