Haydock (1st leg 2.25), Ascot and Newmarket provide the races for today's ITV7.

The Ascot meet is the Shergar Cup and i had half expected the ITV7 to be solely concentrated there. All 6 races at that meeting are handicaps of 10 or more runners, so i will most likely choose 4 for a secondary L15 and e.w. acca, with my main bet coming from the other meetings.

Not a big fan of the Shergar Cup meet Ken, although it has the handicap races that we like. It just seems a little contrived and dare I say somewhat politicised. Ah well said the soul, snipe over. Giz, i've concentrated more on their football offers today; i have bets running on both the England ladies match and the Arsenal match (delayed by a half hour?). Got double the odds for my Build Your Own bet on the ladies match and a free bet as a result of having a punt on the Arsenal game.
I don't particularly fancy any of Frankie's 5 rides. That said, would it be a surprise if he took them all into the winner's enclosure? :-)

I didn't bet on Frankie but my missus did.
I followed the advice of a friend who's a big horse racing gambler and he said his best chance was in the 15.30 .... he finished 3rd.
No winners yet for Frankie and he's 20-1 (was 22-1 earlier) in his last race at 16.30.

Giz, jusy for future reference; the jockeys don't get to choose which horses they ride in the Shergar Cup - they are allocated their mounts by way of a ballot. Although, apparently, there is some sort of computer wizardry at hand which is supposed to ensure that all the riders and teams have an even spread of fancied horses.
I believe that if he had the choice of rides, Frankie would have been seen in the winner's enclosure once or twice:-)
