Yeah , I like happy people

Owain who?

Totally agree smurf. The program is supposed to be about property not flaunting your "gayness". Get shut...

Stereotypes abound on this thread....

He's a pleasant, knowledgeable chap who just happens to be gay.

So what?

He is what he is. Have you never heard of "live and let live"? I'm sure he'll calm down as he settles into the role.

ANY of the presenters could be gay as far as I am aware. There's no need to go over the top proving it.

He's a little bit camp/flamboyant and I repeat, so what?

Is he supposed to suppress his personality for people like you? I guess he's putting it on for the cameras. 🙄

//people like you//

???????

Yes I think he probably IS putting it on for the cameras but the show isn't about HIM - it's about the properties.

If he wants to camp it up there are plenty of shows where he can do that.

He was recruited to replace Tommy Walsh who had been a builder for 50 years but was sacked and replaced by Wyn Evan's, who has only ever renovated his own homes. The BBC said it wanted to attract younger audiences.. I'll just skim over the bits he is in as I just don't like him

I liked Tommy Walsh because he seemed to know what he was talking about structurally. I haven't seen the new guy. Is he a builder?

There is a huge difference between being a tv presenter and a tv personality.

Presenters promote the show, personalities promote themselves.  Homes under the Hammer needs tv presenters - the properties and buyers are the focus, not the star personality.

He used to the weather man on look north. So does that mean he was never a meteorologist?

Maybe there was a typo in the job ad.

He's great, have you seen him drumming?
He's a real personality and , I don't believe, creepy.  He's true to himself, I'd be very proud of him if he was part of my family.

For those of you who haven't seen him drummer.

'drumming'
