They're Coming After Your Holidays...

interesting video on recycling, i had not idea it's mostly a waste of time, for plastic anyway, here's a quote from an expert:
I worked in the plastics injection molding tooling industry for 30 years. Most plastic pellets (plastic parts come from pellets often supplied in bags) can only contain 2 or 3 percent recycled plastic. As one increases that percentage, the quality reduces. Plastic degrades every time it melts and reforms. Even at that low amount, it's mostly for very low grade junk stuff. You really don't want your expensive auto or phone parts to contain recycled plastic.

It is like Dodge City round here. Even when they do make an attempt they fill the craters with weetabix and treacle. They even have the bleedin cheek to put "Temporary Road Surface" signs up instead. Those that have not blown away in the storm are so rusty that they look ready for recycling themselves. Some of the signs on LLandudo prom have been there for 12 month or more. They have been run over so many times that they are sometimes left on their sides cos they won't stand up.
