why do people wear baseball caps whilst they are indoors and also why wear a hat in summer we dont even play baseball in england anyway

It's an accessory. Let people wear what they want to wear. I still consider it rude to wear a cap or hat indoors, but unfortunately many people do not. And if social etiquette changes, then so be it. Fashion has to start somewhere and could well die out just as quick.
