..tomorrow morning's 3rd place play-off, that is. Yes it's Wales, yes it's quality opposition so should be a good game and yes I'll be up to watch it but I still can't raise any excitement about it.
Any other Taffs still feeling deflated and more than a little underwhelmed after last weekend's tragedy, especially at the thought of the final being a (potentially) massive anti climax?
Or am I the only one wallowing in stupefying self-pity?
Go Wales!
It might only be for 3rd place, but last time out Argentina went for the jugular against then hosts France in the play off in what was a very entertaining game.
Hope Wales do the same.
It's just that I'm fearful of the All Blacks getting a cricket score against Les Bleus, leaving the World Cup becoming infamous for the final that never was. I'm giving serious consideration to putting a fiver on NZ to beat France by more than 30.
I fully expect them to put France to the sword for all the times they've upset the apple cart and am certain they'll really rub their noses in it once they get into an unassailable lead.
If France DO capitulate I'll be apoplectic!
I can't even say that I'll watch this, although I do wish the Welsh all the best. Similarly, I can never watch the football World Cup third place play-off either. They mean little or nothing.
Ok so we lost this morning to Australia, but hey!.....we are a tiny nation, and we are rated 4th in the world!.........can't be a bad result Philtaz........proud of our squad!........they'll come home to a massive welcome!.....
