What?

Have I just seen Michael Vaughan? Ex England cricket captain shipped over to Georgia to interview golfers for the BBC, as they complete the final round of the Masters.

Talk about jobs for the boys? How much of the licence fee did that cost us?

well its not the PGA being a pedant about this......
I often say "jobs for the boys" when I see celebs doing documentary's. Three men in a boat, Billy Connelly, Joanna Lumbley, etc. The list is endless.

Apologies DT but I think you know what I mean.
yep.....just being pedantic.

I guess they have to have a small team over there. Don't know if MV is good at interviewing and (ii) golf. Can I go as I am off 5 (well I was).
Question Author
You're probably more qualified as a golfer DT.

It would be 'almost ' be acceptable if it was an ex golfer. mic mac but a cricketer who probably plays social golf once per month?
If Michael Vaughan is there then that is at least seven in the BBC team.
well Hazel, Peter Alliss, MV and who are the two commentating now....plus Ken Brown.

Anyone else?
Question Author
Yes Vulcan and I think they are only showing the final round? They used to have all four rounds until Sky came in.
He is something of a golf fan, good golfer by all accounts and mate of Lee Westwood's. He was his caddy in the Par 3 competition there 2 years ago.
(was on last night on Beeb 2)
Don't know the mans name but I heard Rory Mcilroy being interviewed by somebody with a N Irish accent, who comments for the BBC.
Question Author
DT Somebody called Andrew Cotter, bbc sports broadcaster and Wayne Grady (i've heard of him, ex Aussie golfer)
Andrew Cotter is a Scot. Not heard ay Irish accents from BBC commentators there this week.

Justin Rose has made a guest appearance tonight as a commentator as he often does for the BBC when he's finished his round in the majors.
Andrew Colter (ex golfer as well) and Grady is well known....
sorry you are correct, cotter is a beeb stalwart
DT, are you perchance getting confused with Andrew Coltart, Scot, professional golfer and brother-in-law to Lee Westwood? (Westy married Coltart's sister).
peut-etre......must be the Bordeaux!
so odds on a play-off?
Question Author
DT, not being pedantic (!) but it's definitely Cotter and yes he did play golf, for Scottish Schools and Universities
I thought I heard this man interviewing, might be wrong.
