I was away on hol when it happened, so I didn't post, and I almost forgot ...

The invincible Northern Thunder ... steamrollering their way over all comers ...

Mighty ...

All conquering ...

Did you see who beat them ?

(I'm sure you did, because I just KNOW that you continued watching the Netball on SkySports 4 while I was away)

Yes ... Northern Thunder ... defeated by ... SURREY STORM !!

Go Storm, Go Storm, Go ...

Err, ahem.

Anyway, the score ...

Surrey Storm 63-62 Northern Thunder

So, the team currently at the top of the SuperLeague?

That would be, err ...North ... NO, wait ... that would be ...

SURREY STORM !!

Go Storm !!!

I now have a horrible image of a bunch of drooling older gents in reclining chairs under a glass sports court.

Pass the sick bucket quickly
wow it could be magnifying.
Question Author
Mrs O ... it's not good, is it.

Ron ... surely "magnifying" is not a good attribute in the context of ladies' lower regions.
W.Ron - can I suggest you keep your hands on the keyboard where we can see them
Question Author
... or put cling film over your laptop.
Hi jj, how are the Whippets doing, did you enjoy your self at the West Ham match lol.
Now if you had gone across into Eats Ham, Jogger, you would have found plenty there.

Skorts, sqad, have been around for years in womens golf and maybe even some men.
Question Author
It was quite a jolly day out, thanks tony ...

... except for the losing 6-0 bit !

West Ham fans sing this daft song ... "I'm forever blowing bubbles" ... !

And we heroically sing "Sussex By The Sea" !

So we win on the song, even if we lost the match.
Is that what you call the English Channel, the "Sea"????
Only 6 nil, Brighton got of light i think.
Question Author
Sussex By "The Channel" ?

Not got the same ring to it.

Let's go to the seaside. Do you mean the Channel side?

Naah, come on DT, that just doesn't work.
Sussex-by-the Sewer has a certain ring to it....
Question Author
You're thinking of Croydon.
sqad, skorts aren't a modern development, we wore them for school sports in the early 1960s - except then (although they were above the knee) our uniform supplier described them as "divided skirts" - much as women wore for golf in those days.
Nothing changes!
True Jayne, or Portsmouth....
boxy...well, i have been in women's uderwear and overwear for many a year as an observer. I may add ;-), but i have NEVER heard of SKORTS.

But thank you my love for that bit of female sartorial knowledge.
Question Author
Oh, Portsmouth is a bit of an armpit.

Aren't divided skirts more like culottes?

sqad ... are you taking notes?
here is somthing for you to imagine a lovely feminine posterior bouncing around in, sqad. Only because it is such a lovely, sunny and transucent Sunday morning.

All this talk of ladies undergarments can't be doing much for our female contributors shall we now lead the conversation to jockstraps ?

W Ron.
DT OK! OK! I surrender.....I know when i am beaten.
