Would you be good enough to start a petition to get Mr Alex McLeish to the Hawthorns ?

I doubt if anyone else will be stupid enough to give him another job in the Premier league.

In fact I am surprised Villa were stupid enough to offer him a job, ignoring he was the ex Birmingham manager, he was just a BAD manager.

He has taken Birmingham down twice, may yet still take Villa down (though QPR and Blackburn losing yesterday may JUST save them - though it could still happen).

I think he should take his golden handshake when he leaves and retire to an island somewhere to see out his days.

mcleish may not even leave yet, he has 2 years left on his contract and lerner seems happy with his performance as a manager so far.

bookies favourite for the WBA job is now chris hughton, who seems to be a good manager
He will leave ( mutual consent ).
there are several schools of thought on this tony. http://www.astonvilla...s-leaving-think-again
>>>and lerner seems happy with his performance as a manager so far.

What gives you that impression? Any quotes anywhere?

If so the chairman is just trying to justify his own decision to appoint him in the first place.

A lot of chairman say "his job his safe" a week before they sack him.

I think McLeish will go at the end of the season, if he doesn't the season ticket sales for next year will drop like a stone, and Lerner wont want that.
cazzz if Hughton gets Birmingham back up can't see him leaving
Alex McLeish is doing a great job, don.t forget Villa is just a small village somewhere around Birmigham.
They have never had ambition and never will have.
Gawd, he has got to go cazzz, Hodgson get the England job. Normal service will the be resumed.

I cant see Small Heath Harriers coming up through the play offs.
>>>They have never had ambition and never will have.

I seem to remember they won the European Cup once.

Something quite a few "big teams" in the Premier league have never done (Chelsea, Man C to name two)
Hodgson ain't done to bad with a small village team just outside of Wolverhampton.

Lerners grandson wants a cowboy outfit for xmas....so he will buy him Birmingham City FC I guess
>>>so he will buy him Birmingham City FC I guess

Better not shout too loud.

Villa and Blues may be swapping places this year, that would just be TOO embarrising.
I seem to remember they won the European Cup once.

everyone deserves a bit of luck.
Something the scum will never achieve ( sorry did I say scum ) I meant Birmingham City LOL.
lerner has wasted 4 million on mcleish, he is the 20th highest paid manager in football, he knows nothing about football, whos to say when he gets rid of mcleish he doesnt continue shopping in the alex ferguson manager shop and we end up with steve bruce or worse still steve keane
Cazz...Behave..TonyA*..Get stuffed :P
LOL, the baggies have managed to stay up for 2 consecutive seasons and probably finish mid table WOW.
We're above you old fruit..That's good enough for me :)
