looking at the last 24 hrs why is it instead of congratulating man city for winning the league people would rather slate off man utd for not winning the league?

bernie.... yes. i agree, but life is not like that.
Both in sport and in professional life and particularly with the British public, one feels it necessary to "*** off" the departed champions rather than salute the "new kids on the block."
The Brits don't tend to take to success in any form in life...... tending to be suspicious and scathing.

I am NOT a Man Utd OR Man City supporter, but well done Man City.

Apparently it was due to problems with injuries during the season according to Sir alex... Surely every side has problems with players being injured it is why you have a squad.., I notice he also commented on City/QPR going into 5 minutes of extra time... when even commentators refer to 'fergie time' its a fitting way for City to win.
Congrats City.. hopefully we can fight you for it next year.

// Manchester United would already be celebrating retaining their Premier League title, rather than preparing to surrender it to Manchester City, if every key refereeing decision had been made correctly this season, a study has shown.
Manchester City will win their first title for 44 years with victory against Queens Park Rangers at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday but thorough analysis of every big decision made by officials has revealed that Manchester United should be four points clear and already crowned as champions. //

Well done City.
My final thoughts on the sad day are this
We were level on points with City
We will add to our squad and unlike City we have younger players who will learn from this (did you see Jones face) and make them more determind next season
City have spent a fortune and probably have a better team at the moment but we still have Sir Alex
So enjoy it while you have it City because its ours and we will have it back next season
