OK, then - here goes - eyes down, look in for a full house, and with subtitles for the hard of thinking...

Man City, Man Utd and Arsenal are in the Champions League no matter what. Currently, Spurs have to qualify for the fourth spot from the English Premiership. If Chelsea win this year's final, they take the fourth spot and Spurs miss out. However, if they lose, they miss out and Spurs still have to qualify.
Your question is a bit garbled so not sure what you are asking.
However if Chelsea DONT win the Champions League final then the DONT qualify for next years Champions League at all.
The 4 places in the Champions League go to Man C, Man U, Arsenal and Spurs.
If Chelsea DO win Champions League final they replace Spurs as the 4th team in the Champions League next year.

the only team that will have to pre-qualify is Spurs if Chelsea fail to win Champions League final. The top three plus Chelsea, should they win on Saturday, go directly into the group stages of next seasons competition whereby Spurs drop into the Europa League....which will entail them starting their season about 2 weeks after the end of Euro 2012!!!!!
Trying to do the working out for the europa league.. If Chelsea lose the CL final do they they have a Europa league spot as FA cup winners?
Liverpool have a spot by winning the Carling... Would that give Newcastle the last Europa spot? They certainly deserve some reward for their imnprovement this season...

Surely even being in the two leg qualifier counts as them already being in the "champions league" competition.

Man City, Man Utd and Arsenal have already achieved AUTOMATIC entry into round one of next year's Champions' League.
If Chelsea win this year's Champions' League final, they will also win AUTOMATIC entry into round one of next year's Champions' League, and Spurs will miss out.
If Chelsea lose this year's Champion's League final, they will NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES play any part in next year's Champions League but, instead, will gain entry into the Europa League. At this point, Spurs will be required to play two qualification matches to determine whether they have EARNED their place in next year's Champions' League.
Are you being deliberately obtuse...?
