What is the meaning of "Sold", "We won't get half that much." comps", "the usual", "go after him". What would you give for this place?" in the following sentences?
"Here's the appraisal. We had it done late last year by a guy from Tupelo, probably the best appraiser in north Mississippi."
"How much?"
"Four hundred thousand."
"Sold."
"I thought he was high. Of course, the Judge thought the place was worth a million."
"Of course."
"I figure three hundred is more likely."
"We won't get half that much. What's the appraisal based on?"
"It's right here. Square footage, acreage, charm, comps, the usual."
"Give me a comp."

We won't get half that much: The appraisal for the property is US$400,000, but the people in this discussion think that price is high. One of them says that he figures 300 is more likely. He/she means US$300,000. The next speaker thinks they will not get even half of that which is an amount less than US$150,000.
Comps: When an appraiser calculates the value of a property, the appraiser will look at properties that are for sale or have sold recently and will compare the sales prices. The appraiser will have a list of similar properties and prices, and they are called "comps" because they are comparisons.
the usual: The appraiser followed normal procedures to determine the value of the property.
