My 50 year old daughter likes to cycle long distances for her health and for charity. She avoids getting saddle-sore by using a special saddle filled with liquid.
I thought I would pass this on in case it is of interest to anyone.

they are called gel sats / gel seat covers and they are comfy!
Thanks for that robert551069
I'm 50 and I belonged to a cycling club years ago and used to cycle many miles a week when I was younger. I loved our local Chiltern Hills and I once cycled down to relatives on the south coast then back the next day. Thought nothing of it then!

We always accepted though that the most comfortable bike saddle is a hard one. After some time soft saddles cause chafing and sores but you can cycle all day on a hard seat. It's that same with car seats. A soft seat is fine for 30 minutes but if you drive all day then a hard bench-type seat is most practical.
Better than a silicon impant in your behind I suppose.
For those tempted to buy one

you couldn´t beat a Brookes fully sprung leather saddle, i had one for years until it collapsed on me after about 10 years of regular cycling.
