Re last Saturday, I thought at first that Wiggo and the others had let Cavendish down, but a mate of mine who knows a lot about cycling tells me that our team actually cycled their guts out but were apparently let down by other teams refusing to take their turns at making the pace.
After all, the race was over 200Kms(@125Miles?) and was extremely tactical and cannot be compared to today's which was a solo effort and a damned sight shorter than Saturday's.
Wiggins has absolutely nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about. Just the opposite I'd say.
