Usain Bolt is a fantastic runner but no-one who races him stands a chance except when hes not totally fit which happened recently. Im all for handicapping. With high jumpers nearly seven feet tall no-one of normal hight stands a chance. Same goes for all sports, even team sports like football. Give the lesser team a goal or two start.

Does that mean any of us would have a chance of a medal if we took part?
Or a pub side could win the FA cup?
lol lol I'm thinking... John Mcenroe
does this apply to brain capacity as to writing daft questions as well?
Thats exactly what golf handicapping does.An 18 handicapper has every chance of beating the club professional in the monthly medal for example.
I'm not sure how it could be implemented in professional sport other than boxing, weightlifting.
How do you implement it in boxing?

one hand tied behind the back?
sorry are you on some sort of medication?
So we don't ever really need to know who is the fastest, strongest etc in the world? Why bother at all then?
What would be the point?

If you could just say it isn't fair that Bolt is the fastest man in the world, let him run in diving boots so anyone can beat him.

How about handicapped events (eg Bolt to start 2m back) and open events where there is no handicapped. Watched the high jumping last night. The bar started at 2.20m (7'3") The best jumper was the fella from Qatar. He was never going to win because he was also the shortest. The answer about pub teams in the world cup was a bit daft.
How about making Bolt run the 100m whilst giving a piggyback to someone nominated by the other runners?
The question is a bit daft.
Why would Bolt even entertain the idea of entering an handicapped race ?
What a wacky suggestion - so if Bolt started 90m behind me (I think that's what I'd need) and I won do I deserve the medal?
And I'm unfit & lazy which gives me a huge unfair disadvantage. Handicapping should be applied so I have a yard to race whilst Usain has a good half mile.
''(eg Bolt to start 2m back)''

Nonsense: it's not the 102m is it. Why should Bolt be penalised for being the best?

I would pur-chase a ticket to see that.
Sounds a very sinister suggestion to me. What would you recommend for East African distance runners....... require them to have a leg amputated?
Perhaps Phelps could have a couple of bricks tied to his genitalia... just for fairness, like.
@McMouse, perhaps they should start in East Africa
or the marathon runners have to guess the course and balance an egg and spoon all the way round.
Whereas I get moped and a sat nav (not Noms sat nav)
