What about the Paralympics BBC, whats your view folks ?

The BBC have done a great job with the Olympics and the Jubilee but what about the Paralympics.

Looks like their only good for 5live radio coverage.

as i've already said in another post....i'd like to see the paralympics get as much coverage and publicity as the main games.

I`ll be at the Paras for two days. With my track record there will be world coverage on those days. :-)

They do deserve better coverage though....hopefully this year.

i see little point in broadcasting the paralympics -- or any ssport for that matter -- on the radio.
sporting events - by definition - are visual occasions.

Ronald Reagan used to be a radio sports broadcaster. He didn't always bother attending the events, just got tickertape reports and read them out breathlessly pretending he was there.

That said, TMS is still a fine way to experience cricket

Sport can be excellent on the radio, if you get a good commentator.

I'm not massively excited or interested in them personally but I'm sure I'll probably end up watcing a few events, same way I did for the olympics. There has been quite a few adverts on channel 4. Where I work remains on high alert for the para's and I believe there was some talk about them being as busy as they olympic games because they are actually very popular, and they were easier to get tickets for. I've no idea how true the latter is.

We found it easier to get Paralympic tickets China, but they are going well now because people want the overall experience.
I worked with disabled children for some time so I love to see what can be achieved.
