my daughters team have won troupe of the year and after their dance yesterday they've probably won the championship trophy too. they were amazing. Southport looked good too, as I drove home about 6pm yesterday there was a fabulous red sun over the sea (yes, sea! ) and a bride and groom were standing on the seawall having photos taken against the wonderful background of the red sky and the glistening Irish Sea, fabulous to watch, the bride looked amazing and the photos will be stunning.
Brings back horrific memories..........i was conned into going to see one of my grandsons in the final of the jiving...........never been so embarrassed in all my life. He was dressed in silver sort of material, hugging all parts of his pathetic body, very dodgy movements of the hips and arms (limp wrist syndrome).....a right little "pu.fter........and that's how he turned out to be.
All the other parents and grandparents were swooning over their offspring, but me and mrs sqad left early..........
Lol sqad, you sound like my husband. My 11year old daughter does artistic rollerskating and was entered into a completion a few months ago, we went to watch but didn't realise it was for adults as well, some of your description fits some of the entrants particularly well, Mr RR didn't put it so nicely, infact he thought the police should be called lol.
rocky....LOL...not the police that i wanted to call, but the Psychiatrists....mainly for the parents who that that there little "w00fters" were wonderful.
It was a real eyeopener I can tell you, geriatric men and women flying round on rollerskates, dressed in spangley tightfitting outfits, mind you they were good.
Sorry Dot, I feel I've been rude, congrats to your daughter and her team.
they were all shattered after the dance yesterday, it's high impact and they have to concentrate on their armwork and patterns and also keep the timing, it's amazing to watch.
