As he is now stripped of all titles do all the runners up in the events now get promoted to winner? Wikipedia still shows Armstrong as winning 7 times TDF for example. Anyone know who the new "winners" are?

Apparently they were all at it, so in most races it'll probably be the bloke that came about 97th by the time they've worked down through all the cheats.

has he been stripped of the titles? the us doping agency has no powers to strip anybody of anything. that would surely be down to the tour de france. personally, i think it is a load of old hooey and there are many jealous people out there. drugs or not.....he is a fantastic cyclist.

You can only be stripped of a title if it can be proven that you cheated to win that particular year.

Some athletes have retained titles as they were not caught at that time but at a later date.

They haven't. From BBC Sport's web page:

''the UCI said they 'will examine all information received in order to consider issues of appeal and recognition, jurisdiction and statute of limitation.'

They are expected to give their response towards the end of October.''
