Programme just starting on BBC1. Most pundits are going for Novak, the odd one for Andy.
Make no mistake, the physicallity of this match will be brutal, maybe the tennis equivalent of the Rumble In The Jungle.
Both are on brilliant form, Novak despatching most of his opponents with a minumum of fuss, Andy almost as much, bar the 5 setter against Federer.
I actually believe that 5th set was beneficial to Murray because of the way he played in it, majestic and ruthless in equal measure and hopefully it will spur him on, combined with the renewed belief given him as a result of working with Lendl and his successes since.
My head says Djokovic, my heart Murray and with a bit of Brit grit he may overcome one of his best friends, I certainly hope he does.
C'mon Andy, you can do this!

Novak long, Murray takes it!
good morning everyone

just got up
i am not a follower of tennis at all however, one cannot help but be caught up in all the hype .. and so i have tuned in to the match

come on andrew
LOL Murray ... If you're being suggestive, then it was a good all afternoon, and a good middle of the night, and it might be a good rest of the morning too, lol. But if I've got the wrong end of the stick, and you're asking about the Burns Night Ball, it was very jolly.

OMG ... is that Andy's mum?? She looks just like Andy in a blonde wig!
Question Author
Murray now has to consolidate and prepare for the inevitable onslaught. Good start required now with a strong service game.
minty - hello. how's you. thou not though

jj - surprised you can stand. hope you had a good time yesterday during the day and evening.

chilld - please keep going with commentary. can't watch so am glued to your posts.

m-t - that's enough tea cakes. you'll get fat.
is it indoors?
Lady j, if you're on line you can watch. Just go to catch up TV. You'll be about a minute behind but virtually live.
Has anyone had a bet on the game? The commentator just said that Djokovic was favourite.
hi lady predictive thingy not Catholic !lol..
Question Author
Thanks LJ, will do. excelsior, no, open court.

The expected onslaught is going awry and Murray holds fairly comfortably.
Novak looks irked.
jj ...don't be coy......no it's in outdoor arena....
Question Author
Novak at 0-30, can Murray break him immediately?
Question Author
Novak was at 0-40, now 30-40. Don't blow this Andy!
The apologists on twitter are blaming djok's shoes for him losing points, and someone has suggested that he'll be needing a "medical" break soon.
Question Author
Deuce. Hope this chance hasn't slipped, don't want to be giving Novak a fillip.
need a wee but can't go.....
no can't sit and watch as am supposed to be doing some (paid for) accounting work and can only dip in occassionally. going to the last page on this thread is about the best i can do at the mo.
good luck andy..
Question Author
Chance gone, never mind, work towards the next one now.
Question Author
Andy looks to have put that missed opportunity to the back of his mind as he quickly goes to 30-0.
